Don't Forget About Me - A Tribute to Nanci Griffith

Nanci Griffith belonged to the very bedrock of American country and folk music. She established herself as one of the finest country music singers of the 80s, with her clear, emotional voice. She released many albums over the years and is perhaps best known in Norway for her album "Other Voices, Other Rooms", which was released in 1993. Many know her for songs such as "Speed of The Sound of Loneliness", "Coming Down in The Rain" and "Love At The Five & Dime"

Nanci Griffith has been Camilla Larsen’s greatest inspiration and fascination for 30 years."Don't Forget About Me" is a tribute to Nanci Griffith, her passion and history.

With her are Arild Moe on guitar and Magne Kollstrøm on bass.

Her guitar has been her faithful and loyal friend since in her teens. It's been with her when she's opened for Åge Aleksandersen, Lynn Anderson, Frode Alnæs and Edwina Hayes. She's also had the privilege of performing together with Carlton Moody, Tore Andersen and Ottar "Big Hand" Johansen. "Big Hand" sang his way into her heart when she was just 10 years old. Her biggest role model is Nanci Griffith, who influences her music. By recording Ottar Johansen's "Passion and Trust" in 2008, she made the Norsktoppen that year. She made the playlist for NRK and NRK Trøndelag with her songs "Silverline", "Hjertet Ditt" &"Søvnløse Netter»; all songs from her CD "Time To Move On".

She's also received airplay on BBC Radio Cumbria in England. Camilla has performed from south to north in Norway. She's also performed locally numerous times, at private parties, conferences at the Rica Hell Hotel and other concerts. She's also been further afield including London, Leicester, Birmingham, Carlisle, the Lake District and Edinburgh in the UK.

"Camilla, with her way of delivery on stage, her beautiful voice & her songs...she is ready for Nashville and the Blue Bird Cafe. She is a down to earth singer/songwriter that I warmly recommend...Ottar 'Big Hand' Johansen
